Join us Wednesday, June 10th at 7:30pm on Zoom to learn more about your rights and how to defend them:
Ending overly restrictive rules on the distribution of union materials that try to dictate where and what we can communicate to each other.
Union Orientation
Agreeing to freer Union access to meet with workers during non-work times and non-work areas. HCA managers should stop restricting or denying access to Union Representatives.
Union Access
Agreeing that newly hired workers should have the right to hear from our Union about our Union during a paid orientation.
Union Orientation
Agree that the law gives our Union the right to bargain over the effects of management’s unilateral changes to our working conditions during the term of the contract.
HCA corporate shouldn’t be allowed to create a punitive culture aimed at limiting workers’ rights and enforcing management power and control. None of these demands cost HCA any money they just cost them their ability to have total control over their employees leaving us with little voice and agency over our own lives and jobs.
If HCA was really interested in being an Employer of Choice and Provider of Choice then they would begin to act like it by respecting workers’ participation in their Union so our voice and participation matters in the decisions that affect us and our patients.
